I'm considering putting my own vocals on this. I'll listen to it on the mp3 player when I'm commuting, and see what ideas enter my minds ear.

Didn't like the way it started much. It was much better further into the track though. Getting an interesting rhythm with bass and/or melody is something I generally have troubles with. You seem to have done pretty well on that score. A bit of variety would be cool, but your vocals will probably help out there. Vocals is something I've not even considered attempting yet.

For the bass riff change the 4th bar of the 4 bar phrase to break it up a bit

Yup, I hear what you mean Mong.

I know what to do, will be subtle, but those patterns need that finer layer of structure. At the mo the structure is mainly defined in 16, 32 & 64 bar sections. It lacks something defining the 4 & 8 bar loops.

Just change the melody. Easiest way is to use the same notes just reverse the notes in that bar or cut up each beat and play with the order, yeah never know what ya may find

Cheers for the extra advice Mong. I sussed pretty much exactly what I was going to do on the first listen since your earlier advice.

This one is flowing easily, just the odd pointer to weaknesses will suffice. It's no slog.
