I ditto the scream plug in. Good stuff. Reasons verb is a little on the lame side, though. Sproggy, I use 3.0 and have been doing so for a while now. I usually use it as a stand alone, though, as you can't record live w/it. But, I know my way around it pretty well, so if you have questions hit me up.

I've got Reason Adapted. It's a stripped down version. I don't know what I'm missing compared to the full version. But when I'm familiar with everything I've got, then I might look into upgrading.

TBH, I'd rather find a good wave sequencer, which can MIDI synch, than expand Reason.

Re. manuals: You should all know, I'm one of those rare breed of humans, who, when stuck, goes straight to the manual 1st.

... A friend of mine who's a good guitarist just left. Been discussing a jam or collaboration, for that groove I posted a few days ago.

Let's see how this evolves.

My guitarist friend has listened to the loop a few times. I told him to take his time. Meanwhile, I'm working on the structure, sounds and rhythm.

Here's where I'm up to:

Sample of BreakHouse Roller *will be deleted soon*

Nothing too inspiring yet. But I though somebody might be interested in following this project, stage by stage.

I actually found it easy to put those vocal samples into a drum channel.

Noice.

I was just pondering how many samplers you got if you upgraded, or if you can set up the sampler for multiple sounds, when it struck me.

I've spent many hours this weekend working on a Techno track.

I've got to grips with the automation. I've been using it to vary the filter frequency for the bass sound.

I've also rembered the blindingly obvious: Slow down your track so you can play/record along easier. Everything on this track, except for the bass drum, is 'played in'.

Here's a weekends work:

sprog on the case - Techno beat 1

I'm considering putting my own vocals on this. I'll listen to it on the mp3 player when I'm commuting, and see what ideas enter my minds ear.

Not bad. I get what you are trying to do here just. I would rather hear less of the arpegiated bass bit of the beat and just keep the bass rolling and then interject with the arp. Tis just a preference at the end of the day, I know jack . Can't comment on anything because the quality of my work earphones coupled with the low quality of mp3 doesnt represent what ya doing really. Amongst that lame response i hope you get something. Would like to hear how the track develops.
