Had it for ages. Will be buying an Edirol PCR-M300 on Wednesday so thought I'd install it and have a mess around.

Only used the ReDrum, mixer & effects so far, but I'm loving it.


BTW, does anyone know if I can synch it with the Cool-edit-pro multitrack? Spent ages trying last night, but I think I can only use it as a sampler with midi control.

Words cannot explain how much fun I'm having!

I've got a track in the making. Maybe I'll have a rough version ready to play on my Wednesday or Thursday show.

Still not managed to link up Reason and Cool Edit, but I can save Reason loops as wavs then use them in Cool Edit with all my other samples. Tis a start. I'll explore all the software and options as I go.

Do you find reason pretty easy to pick up then?? I am still trying to find which software I get along with...

It looks pretty user friendly. But there's quite a lot to it, so there's a fair bit to learn anyway Steve.

It's not even a full version. I don't know what extra you get on the full version. Will look into all of this tho. In good time.

For now, I'm hooked on this first track... Working in Cool Edit to build the main section of the track. Then I'll revisit Reason to create some more wav loops for the intro, outro and breakdown.

Fruity Loops is very similar to Ejay, just a hell of a lot more technical. Definatley worth checking out (it's cheap, too).

I have fruity loops XXL 6 and Cubase and Ableton Live and somewheer I have reason 3.... I just struggle and and very impatient!!!

Got that too. Not installed at the moment, but I've used it before. I quite like FL.

I also got a version of Ableton which I'll be looking at soon. Hopefully I can team that up to synch with FL or Reason. Then I'll be rocking!!

The plan is to use everything I can get my hands on.. After getting going with my own production I want to be remixing for others. Knowing the ropes on a range of production software will obviously be an advantage.

i use FL a lot, and have used reason too, just got hold of 3.0 so been playin with that

not used cool edit pro, what is it? is it like a sequencer? if so i use acid pro for that kinda stuff but if cool edit is better i may take a looksee
