Will check out your productions soon Danny. Listening to Steve on the radio at the moment tho.

Me too, but I'd rather be dancing in a club when my tune comes on.
Not sure if you can hook up cool edit pro to Reason as Reason is notorious for it's inability to be hooked up with non propellarhead or steinberg software.

How ever if you ant a wave editor but love Reason then try Recycle, which will work with Reason.

The cool thing about Recycle is you can save things as a Rexx file, which compresses storage memory, then run hat file through the Dr Rexx sample player in reason. Your computer is a lot less likely to crash with loads of samples running together and it'll mean the samples don't take up as much space if they WAV. or something else.

Welcome to MongedOut Ipper.

I don't think there's any way to get Cooledit hooked up with Reason. But thanks for the tip on Recycle.

As it happens, I've recently revisited this track and worked on it a bit more. All this time since I last worked on it ideas have been buzzing around my head for it tho.

A bit more work and a higher quality mp3:

sprog on the case - Techno beat 3

Got specific plans for synths next, and a rough concept for vocals developing too.

You might be able to load long samples into one of the Reason samplers (NN19 or NNXT). I've not done it myself, though.

The *really* cool thing about Recycle is it can recognise peaks (which are typically percussion) and slice the sample automatically. You can then change the tempo and it plays each slice according to the new tempo, thus keeping the pitch without re-sampling and munging the audio data. There is a device within Reason which will play Recycle files at Reason's own tempo.

I hope you understood all that.

However, Recycle will only accept samples up to a certain length. (enough for a few bars of looped data). So you may need another editor to chop it down anyway.

Thanks for the tips Ninja.

I've got used to the sampler in Reason now, I haven't even loaded any samples in it for this track yet, so I've got plenty of scope left.

I'm pretty sure I'll be using short vocal samples/phrases for this track, when I finally get inspiration for the words, so shouldn't have any problems.

Cheery cheers.
