Technology is supposed to make life better and easier - not more difficult. In principal, your statement goes against the theoretical basis for technology. If you had to go through 20 steps to get your car to start, rather than stick a key in and turn it, which option would you prefer if, at the end of the day, they both had similar aspects in other regards?
If you have two pieces of gear for spinning and they did the same thing and technical specs were identical - you wouldn't go with the one that had the easier interface? Again, this is all other things being equal.

Yes I'm sure we can all agree Vista is a load of bollocks. Microsoft are using the public as bug testers for the many bugs and thay are saving loads of cash doing that way. Problem is that most new PC/laptops are coming with it installed and you the user are lumbered with doing the testing for them.
