| Manchester CityCentre Fan | Ableton, BPM & chopping up tracks for loops I get these sort of damn hurdles every time I get inspired. ![]() All I want to do is use Ableton to mark out the bars over a track, so I can chop out any loops I want quickly and easily. The software seems to insist on changing the tempo. ![]() I know this is probably very difficult to help with, because there are so many numbers & options. I really have no idea what I'm missing here. ![]() I only seem to get the option to mark out the waveform into bars when I select Warp, but I don't want to change the tempo, just mark it out. |

| Manchester CityCentre Fan | yeah, I sussed that now. But the thing is, I want the track to determine the tempo. Maybe I'm using the wrong tool for the job. Not that it looks like there's any more appropriate tool in Ableton. ![]() I may just go back to CoolEditPro & do it by hand/sight. I though this would be tidier and quicker. If I can suss this, then surely it will be quicker in the long term. |

| Get monged out with mong | You need to check/fix each clip. I have to do it too regardless.
