USB Sound Card Advice

Oh so I have just bought a set of nice Creative 5.1 speakers... I only have a standard sound card at the moment so only running them at 2.1 and are still 1,000,000 x better than the crappy ones I was using before. I want to buy a 5.1 external sound car to go with them and get the most out of them. I can get a soundblaster surround 5.1 for about £50... anyone have any experience with this and know if it is worth the purchase.

If not any other that you could recommend? I really can't afford to spend much more than £70 tops...

For the cash you are much better off buying an internal soundcard mate. I am sure you have a spare PCI slot on ya machine.

I also recomend an internal matee,M-Audio REVOLUTION 5.1 is a versatile card at only £59 from digital village also includes ableton has a high-definition 24-bit/192kHz playback on up to 6 channels i purchased mine and its doin me a treat.

I use a couple of laptops so internal is not an option I am afraid.

Looks the deal but seems to cheap to actually be any good...

the creative one seems to fit the picture mate but as u say the price is a bit of a bbob,i never thought u'd get one so cheap!need 2 read some reviews maybe it mite prove 2 do the job.

Creative are a pile of shit if ya want to do anything half decent with it. Save up a bit more mate and dont get usb get a firewire connection if you do go external. Buy once dont buy twice along the line when ya want to do something half decent on it.
