Not sure how old this is but I've just found this:
Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire
It's great, I can't praise it enough. You can store an unlimited amount of files there for ever as long as they're 100mb or less. It's great for mixes etc. You can organise into folders and link directly to them. For example, in my sig i have "My mixes". This links directly to my folder which contains (for the momment) a single mix, but over time I will add more and they'll all be in the same place for anyone to grab.

Don't know how quick d/ls are but I think it's a pretty nifty free solution so thought I'd spread the word

Oh, and it also has a facebook application which means you can have all of your mixes or tunes in one place intergrated into your page

except it doesn't, it links you to your mix page because of your cookies, it takes everyone else to either their own file page or in my case to a page telling me I don't have any files uploaded.

I downloaded Bobbo's mix from there last night. Their site is certainly not intuitive to navigate, but it did the job at an average speed.

Sounds like it would be useful to DJ's/artist for the way it organises your files tho.

Got bored at work so sorted it. Click on the "share" tab next to the folder or file and it gives you the URL to embed it in HTML or phpBB code

Just uploaded around 115Mb by splitting it as two RAR files to get round the 100Mb limit.

Techie bit... Well it Uploaded two files in one go at an avrg throughput of 360kbps on my 440kbps upload on my bband which took around 40 mins.

It should dowlnoad on a 2Mbps DSL in around 10 mins if they don't restrict the download speed from Mediafile.

BTW if you wanna download what I uploaded which is my latest radio set recorded on 1st OCT on my show for DigitalDanceFloor.com. You will need to download both parts to make one big MP3.

The mix is a bit bouncy housey for the main part but more harder house follows later on in the mix.
