Right im in NYC gotta fly home later today , with the dollar being so crap im seriously considering going to buy either Serato or Traktor Scratch . Traktor is little more expensie but seems to have better features but my mac powerbook is just in the minimum system requirements so not sure . I gotta decide in a few hours , any suggestions?
I probs wont be scratching on it that much im basically getting a system like this so i save money from vinyl but can still use all my existing records

I'm honestly a bit surprised this is still being discussed...I have FS 1.5 and I LOVE IT. The only thing about it is that I shouldn't open any other programs while running FS. My cpu can handle it fine, but I don't want to risk a crash, which has happened. If I don't run any other programs it is stable and won't crash...so for playing out that's what I do...but it means I was never able to record my sets at the same time. With Serato I've heard that is virtually no risk of crashing, so if you'll be playing out with it regularly, that's what I'd use. I much prefer the look of FS over Serato, however...Serato just seems cluttered and I don't like the vertical and colorful waveform.

Well initial installation has been bit of a nightmare to be honest , having to download all sorts of new drivers and a patch and have only got it half working so far

Nice laptop you got there. I'm sure that'll be more than enough to handle it.
