is final scratch worth 300 quid?

Digital DJ - Stanton - Final Scratch 2 MP3 software / interface - decks.co.uk

Im quite tempted by this. Sticking with vinyl has meant I dont buy new tunes, and I can either afford a mid range CD deck or this. Only concern with FS is streaming through stickam and using the FS software at the same time.

I would only go with Serato or Traktor Scratch (+1). Think Final Scratch has kind of been left behind since they parted working with Native Instruments (Traktor)

I have seen it used in a club when I was working abroad.... It looked the business but I didn't actually get the hang of it myself...

Des Mitchell now only plays out on Serato Scratch (think that is spelled right)..... I believe that is somethign similar and as he is a ledge I presume that must be half decent....

Traktor scratch and Serrato are the daddys, though I hear Torq is ok too.

IMO I wouldn't bother with CD decks - I see them being phased out to hard drive units

Just looked abit closer. They are selling it to use with other djing software packages. It will not work with Traktor , to get vinyl control u must have bought traktor scratch , just so you dont waste ya money. As a soundcard / Interface the ScratchAmp is apparently pretty decent

Package Includes:
ScratchAmp 2 FireWire audio card with two sets of Phono/Line inputs (switchable), a Stereo Aux input, and a Mic input (switchable)
Traktor FS 2 software from Native Instruments

Is traktor FS2 the same thing as traktor scratch?

No. That's old stuff I wouldn't go there.

Traktor fs2 is different and possibly discontinued. Im sure as a package it would work but if I were u Id save an extra 100 n get Serato or Traktor Scratch or at least something with current support cos these things seem to get quite regular software updates and bug fixes
