Having worked in stores which play music, even I was aware of the law. This is not some new rule. If they have public on their premises they should have a licence. Most other businesses pay this licence and know what it allows them to do.

I dunno the costs, but yes Dafi. Any business which is open to the public has to have a licence if they want to play copyright music.

This is nothing new, it's been this way for decades. What I don't understand is why Kwik-fit thought they could be an exeption to a rule which the vast majority of businesses have been following for many years.
