Traktor + Extenal Mixer + Hercules DJ Control Practice Mix

Just 5 or so tunes knocked together (about 20 mins worth) using my newly setup Traktor DJ Studio, controlled through my hercules DJ Control MP3 and mixed using my Vestax Mixer - Ill be posting a video explaining how to setup Traktor the way I have, so that deck A goes to one external mixer channel and deck B to another, it may sem oblious to you lot but i didnt know what wires were needed initally so may save any newbies time & money

gotta say im very impressed with the whole thing and can see myself using it a fair bit

anyway, here is the mix, house music

you got the MK1 or the MK2 mate? It looks like theMK1 to me but I can't be sure.

Did you get the .tks file from hercules to set the controller up? I changed mine so that the bass mid and high eq are now controlling the effects seeing as the external mixer does eq I did away with it.

when you go into the config for the controller in traktor just click on learn for whatever function you're doing and twiddle away. I set mine to be on focus, so the right hand eq knobs do effects for whatever is the highlighted deck, havent thought of what to do with the left ones yet. It works well with the beatmasher, set the ratio to 50% and start a build up then twiddle the knob to increase the beats.

Also on the traktor screen there are little + and - signs underneath the pitch knob, you can right click these and adjust how much a click will increment the pitch, I have mine set to minimum, you probably already know that though.

Good mix BTW Danny.

I listened to it one morning b4 work. No evidence of problems adapting to new gear as I recall.
