Right click on the loop and click slice to midi, it will create a new column/track with midi notes assigned to each slice. Have fun

It's important that you have warped the loop well here. If not remove any swing from snares etc.... by warping each part (double click)

fuck this is where it starts to get over my head and some musical knowledge will be needed I'm sure.

not at all, it just creates a sample for each key in that range.

take a simple 4 beat 1 bar loop and cut it into 4 pieces, take a pic of the clip and get back to me.
