I have a loop playing but how do I slice it to a new track?

fucking ableton, this is why it does my tits in. I just want to take that loop and dump it in a new track. fucking hate it.

I now have 3 clips set up, one is beats from the intro, one is a bit of vocal and one is chorus.



and now the pc starts to fuck up on me Closed a lot of shit down that I didnt need.

To make things clearer, can you right click each clip and rename it, e.g. intro, verse chorus etc.. and rename each channel track 1 = beats, track 2 = vocals etc....

This will help later. FYI you can delete the midi channel.

ok I have beats - vocal - chorus

I've put eq3 remove on chorus and got rid of the beats/bass on that track.

BTW is chorus the main instruments?

Nah mate. think of it logically.


Each track is an instrument or vocal.

Delete the chanels you are not using first
Rename each channel i.e. where is says audio

The clip names should be what type of phrase it is e.g. verse , chorus etc..


I am expecting to see the channel names Drums, Vocal & Instruments

Technically all your clips should be called chorus assuming they are to be played together.

BTW EQ 3 may do for this experiment but you should try using eq8 which is miles better and more accurate.
