Nice little groover

Right, hi there. I did a mix a few months ago and thought i'd share it. Its slightly obvious house and electro stuff to start but for some reason i quite like all the tunes even though its a fairly big departure from my normal techno sound. Its the stuff i've been playing recently when out and about. i've sold out and always said that i would never play tunes like these but i actually quite enjoy it. I finish things off a little harder to try and maintain some credibility. It's a shameful, brash electro house mix standing on top of a hill surveying the hoi polloi and winking at them but not quite joining them. You'll probably hate it but give it a listen and see if it makes you tap you foot.

5. Nightcrawlers - Push the Feeling On (unknown remix)
6. Martijn Ten Velden - I Wish U Would (Hook n Sling remix)

That Chase the Devil track is awesome Beej! Even if it is a sample of a tune made from a sample of another tune.

Levels jumped way up on the Alison Limerick track m8.

Haha, I'm glad I didn't look ahead on the tracklist! What a cool suprise, FGTH

Levels going crazy now at this DK8 track!! Distorted now.

Really enjoyable thanks. Can't fault the mix, apart from the levels. If I was listening in the bath I would have been pretty pissed off.

If you need to turn it up during recording a mix, please, please, use the amp Beej.

Cheers Sproggy

Yeah apologies about the levels - set it all wrong on goldwave at the start and couldn't be bothered to restart when i saw it going into the red. i have to have it really quiet as the walls are paper thin in my flat and apparently my neighbour's baby doesn't like techno??? LAME. So i couldn't really hear what i was doing. Will wait til they are on holiday next time so i can rinse it.

You need a mixer that has individual channel level meters.

I enjoyed most of that. (One or two tracks I didn't get on with). A couple of the mixes lost a bit of energy due to cueing a phrase or so late. One that stands out is the mix between the Nightcrawlers track and 'I wish you would'. They sounded great, but I can't help feeling if you'd started the latter a phrase earlier they would have melded beautifully.

Thanks for sharing, fella.

Edit: Sorry I'm so far behind in listening to peoples' mixes

Some people have the time to listen to loads of mixes and some don't Ninja. You shouldn't feel bad about it IMO, if you don't have time to listen to everything you wish you could.
