House/Dance Music

So I've bridged into the House Music era now, it's definitely rare out here in the states, but it's making its way into daily Hip Hop music. So is Trance

So... personally I have a taste for Daft Punk. A bit hard and somewhat of a tech-house kind of sound. I'm rather enjoying it.

I'm looking for songs that have a real hard dancy feel to it. Club material strictly. I've already taken a look at Benny Benassi, David Guetta, Daft Punk, some Darude, and Tiesto's club mixes like Lovestoned (just to give you guys an idea of what sound I'm looking for).

Not sure how to explain the sound... maybe one of you can hint at it? lol

All input/tips/suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated. No lie mates.

To look at what some of the bigger DJs are playing (and for a more "underground" sound - for want of a better word)... It is always worth checking the playlists of some of the sepcialist dance DJs on radio one... Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Dave Spoon and always the essential mix....

BBC - Radio 1 - Dance

Thanks for the advice Steve, worked like a charm

Judge Jules seems to be playing some pretty nice music. And the essential mix is always a good lot of music.

Also been doing some research of my own - stumbled upon the Global Deejays. Loving their music

Blimey these guys are very cheesy and cliched. But they certainly have a House sound with a harder edge to it.

MySpace.com - Global Deejays ***warning - Auto-playing music and crap page design!***

Zach, you should check out the Seamus Haji remix of Ting Tings - Shut Up :

MySpace.com - Seamus Haji

Not such a hard sound, but I've got a strong feeling you'll like it. Although I do think Mr Haji needs to beef up his kick drums somewhat.

haha Sproggy, you know me all too well.

Grabbed the Ting Tings - Shut up. Rather a catchy tune

Global Deejays tunes are nice, the One Night in Bangkok seems to get me up on my feet the second I hear it. It's just there cheesy breakdowns in the middle of their tunes that catch me off guard. It's absolutely horrific. Last night at a gig I just mixed in the double to cut the breakdown at 2 bars.
