| Moooonged Out | Wedding DJ Ok I fucked up and somehow got myself booked for a wedding in 2 weeks. Apart from not having a clue what to play I also have no laptop at the moment ![]() Can't get much worse but I'm sure it will. The guy getting married is a good guy and I'm sure he knows what I play like but for sure there are family members going, not forgetting the drunk uncle dance that every wedding has. Tune suggestions anyone? I guess top 40 gash and a bit of that rock stuff seeing as it's in da schweiz. Lady in red etc etc is NOT an option. |

yeah I know, getting out of it would be very nice. I need to speak with him this week, I appreciate it's not easy doing a wedding thing, I'm hoping I'm some kind of after party thing, I think it is but can't really remember the arrangement. An after party thing would be good, loads of the guests have already heard me play.Last thing I want to do is get a shit heap of people abusing me, probably why I only play out 2 or 3 times a year now. | |

| Where's the rave to? | I played at a mates wedding last year and played mostly funk, motown, disco a bit of reggae and some random cheese when everybody was sufficiently drunk. Everyone seemed to appreciate it, tbh honest everyone should be in a good mood and sufficiently pissed that you can get away with playing whatever you want, just try to stay away from EDM though and stick to stuff most people will know.

| Mongster raving loony | i've done a few weddings and my formula is pretty much starting with 60s to get the older crowd up, and once they're going the younger crowd will follow so bring it more up to date. keep it commercial and cheesy though... (we know you dont have a problem with that! )
