So, something occurred to me and I felt I'd post a question about it.

The previous forum (we'll call it forum X) was up and running and supposedly was very good at one point. Then X was initially sold and started to become shite. Then, X was sold again and became double shite. What is to keep this site from becoming shite? At present, it is a gorgeous site and it is moving rather quickly for a new start up. However, will signore mong sell this site once it starts moving again, allow a new owner to do the same thing that happened at the last site, and then open a new site similar to this here and keep funnelling the same members from site, to site, to site?

As an artist, If I put a link on a site, or use my contacts to help this business grow, and it turns into shit, then that makes me look bad. If I'm going to support a business, vouch for it, and try to spread the good word and help it grow, then I need to know what I'm backing.

That's a really good question and I am glad you brought it up.

MCS was sold due to a number of reasons
1. had to find some cash
2. was buying a house
3. didnt have the time to do the place justice as work got silly
4. putting it politely: some politics


The one thing i learnt from selling the site is that i couldn't let go, i thought i could but i couldn't. I had to hold back a bit of course because the site had a new owner. However, the interests of the members were always on my mind. I had a plan as soon as mr c took over. However, i held back to see how things went plus i dont rip people off. Now, i am not bound to the new owner of MCS i created this site right away. I even have the blessing of Mr C who has helped me out bit.

I don't plan on selling up again. I may bring people in now and again to assist but from now on i will own the name and rights to this site. I learnt a lot from the MCS sale and wont be doing it again. I am also a lot happier with the name of the site. It feels right if that makes sense.

I think the reason being that we are in the hands of a fellow community member -and I hope I can speak on behalf of everyone - but that omits a really secure feeling.
