I applied for a trainers position at work the other day, it was posted up on the notice board and couldnt see a closing date on he notice. sent them an email saying i was interested, checked my inbox today and the reply i got was, "sorry, the closing dat was the 17 aug 2007" Thats it, no sorry or anything, just a bog standard fuck off.

if the closing date was the 17, why still have the notice up on the notice board 7 DAYS after

A temp agency called my brother in for an interview, interviewed him for 30 minutes and then turned around and said "Actually, the manual labour season for us ends in two weeks, so we aren't going to take you on."

It's plain wrong and stupid. Why get his hopes up calling him in when you know you aren't going to take him on anyway?!

Recruitment consultants are basically sales people and need to get numbers on the books.

They couldnt really give a fuck about the people.

To get his own back why not go for an interview...when they say 'congrats when can you start' just say summat like 'naah I dont want the job, I just came in out of the cold'
