Broken Daisy or something

Hi guys,

made a new track over the weekend, I apologize ahead for not being able to tune in to the radio for support purposes but everytime I wanted to I either got really tired and took a nap or a crazy idea rushed into my head and needed to put it down on this track.

Started this track friday and even though it's not mastered yet it is done, progressive house/breaks tune, called it broken daisy but I'm still not sure on the name, here it is, enjoy:

Sounds well made fella. I liked some of the samples you used too and would say this is your best track to date musically. However, the sound is nothing original and could do with something extra to make the track peak but that really is a personally opinion and view of the genre. Eitherway, the track sounds just as good as any in that genre you hear on Beatport.

Well done

Thank you , I'm still a little surprised that it only took me less than 3 days to create, design and the whole deal

Yea, this is good.

Drums still sound shite though (compared to the rest).

Good bassline/synths.

rest of the tracks out there by other people or compared to my own other tracks? I want to know what you think is missing with the beat itself since I may have missed something along the way, everywhere I play these tracks the beat is almost always overexagarated killing other frequencies, hence why I lowered it. And I can't take a full advantage of the proper mastering because I don't have ableton just yet, so if it's JUST a mastering issue let me know dude.

Your drums seem to have that 'casio' sound to them, just a bit weak and cheesy. Not greatly, but they don't quite cut it compared to other tunes.

I dunno if you use the same/similar samples, maybe try some different ones. Maybe it's the reverb?

I actually had a listen to it right now on my way to work and came to conclusion that both circuitry and broken daisy (or whatever I'll actually call it one day) simply need more mid-high range frequencies. That will make the drums stand out more along with making everything else sound more clear. It's an easy fix, worse comes to worse I'll go to an original reason file and raise the mids-high range up on a kick/drum only and fix the problem like that if the first idea won't work. Thanks for pointing that out Tom

Ok, since by accident I ended up deleting "broken daisy" I figured I might as well do the changes that I need to do and upload it again but FIXED this time, also gave it a better name, for now

Cool, btw, just got a name that I'm sticking with -
Astral Projection

Will definitely do more work on the beat itself for all of my tracks once I get ableton
