ok here is another track to bore you with that I worked on today to bring into the year 2008.

Tis nearly there, would like to enhance / change some areas but this will do for now. I need a break from it.

Cheers. IMO its much easier to distribute stuff via youtube. It's just one click away after all plus it's just a bit different from what anybody else does and only takes a little extra effort on my side

Snare is a bit pfft. And maybe the mix need a bit more trebles? (might be my cans!)

I like the bleepy melody thing. Defo a nice chilled tune. Sy's right, the breakdown is quite lush and defo needs to have more made of it.

I remember the original of this. New version is much better and has a nice groove to it.

Agree with the guys above. more needs to be made of that break down.
I have a slight issue with the filtering effect on that synth pad sound. Its lush btw, but when you filter it right up it almost dissappears and to me this doesnt sound right in places. It could do with having some of the lower frequencies in it when you do this, to keep its presence. either that or not filter it quite so high.

The change at 2.23. not sure I like this. The song parts before and after sound ok, but the sudden change doesnt work for me, took me a while to get into the second part and there seems to be a short period where the key of the pad clashes with the key of the bassline.
IMO you need to blend this change better somehow, perhaps making the first part longer, leading up to an extended break down, then drop into the second part after this? just an idea which may or may not work.

otherwise good work. sounding pretty solid

Thanx for the feedback gents.

The main comment seems to be about the breakdown. I have just doubled it up - tis now 16 bars long but for me it's too long. Is there anything you have heard in the track you think i could add in there to pad it out? I like the build of the original 8 bar breakdown and would like to keep that, i just don't know what to do before that.

edit: ok, my brain fart was short lived. I'll post something up shortly
