Not sure if you can hook up cool edit pro to Reason as Reason is notorious for it's inability to be hooked up with non propellarhead or steinberg software.
How ever if you ant a wave editor but love Reason then try Recycle, which will work with Reason.
The cool thing about Recycle is you can save things as a Rexx file, which compresses storage memory, then run hat file through the Dr Rexx sample player in reason. Your computer is a lot less likely to crash with loads of samples running together and it'll mean the samples don't take up as much space if they WAV. or something else.
